Land Rover Series 3 III 88 swb 200Tdi with Power Steering

  

I have built this Land Rover for Green Laning as well as improved off road and on road abilities. I have owned the Land Rover for a number of years and subjected it to a full body off rebuild a few years back. At this time the vehicle gained a replacement chassis and was modified to 200Tdi power as well as power assisted steering (PAS). New foot wells were fitted at this time also.

The modification list is fairly extensive. 3.54 Range Rover diffs front & rear.

Custom upper shock mounts and long travel Rough Country shock absorbers. Front spring hanger alteration to allow the longer rear leaf spring to be used at the front as well, for increased wheel travel and articulation. Parabolic leaf springs front & rear. Discovery spec 200Tdi diesel engine with turbo. Range Rover p38a Power Assisted Steering box.

Steve Parkers Tdi conversion exhaust system. On road it has equal or better performance than a stock Defender 90 Tdi. And off road it is very stable with suspension travel to rival Defender. This makes for a very capable classic off road vehicle with lots of charm and heaps of ability.

The Land Rover still runs the original 4 speed manual gearbox and Series transfer box to keep with the Series charm. It also runs standard propshafts front & rear to make maintenance and spares easy. The Land Rover is in good sound usable condition. Please bear in mind it has been built and used for off roading and is not proclaiming to be in mint showroom or concourse condition.
