Land Rover Series 3 Lightweight 88'' Half Ton

  

I bought this vehicle in 2013 as a project. The last MOT that came with it was 2007 showing approx date of manufacture as 1971 and 80432 miles on the clock.

It is now showing 83592 after 5 years! It is on a Q plate because of the DVLA not recognising year of manufacture and no military plates. (not uncommon apparently) See last photo. I wanted to own a lightweight so I bought it without the reg being a bother to me. It has a 2.25 petrol 5 bearing crank engine.

I have replaced the following. 3 part clutch, bushes and operating arm.

Clutch master and slave cylinders. Brake master cylinder, hoses and shoes.

I replaced the gearbox and diffs because of a reverberation/noise only between 30 and 35 mph. Still there but not a problem! I only do a couple of hundred or so miles a year and each year it has passed its Mot without any advisories.
