Hello and welcome to the sale of this lovely little land rover series 3 88 rag top. Firstly I will give you a run down of its history.. The land rover was bought new in 1974 by a farmer in ormskirk. He used it local and only when needed. Sadly the chap passed away leaving it to his son who never used or liked it. As time passed his son the grandson was given it. So sadly it was put to one side and forgotten about.

That's when my friend saw it for sale and bought it from the grandson. The lady was fully taken apart and every part was cleaned and renewed. The chassis is in great condition with no welding being done or needed.

This was striped cleaned and re painted in original chassis paint. It then had a full new set of parbolic springs with new bolts and fixings.

Both front and rear axles where striped and new bearings fitted along with ball joints seals oil and swivel joint pins. Both props where overhauled at the same time. The engine and gearbox work as they should and where treated to new gaskets oil filters plugs oil points leads etc. The body has been fully striped and re sprayed in its original pastel green. New parts fitted are as follows..

New top and bottom doors. New door locks and handles.

New age related number plates. (old ones with it) new brake shoes. New door and tailgate rubber seals. These are just a few thing I can remember. But im sure there is a lot more new parts.

Inc nuts bolts washers etc etc. It has also got a full set of steve parker period wheel. When it was taken for its mot. The tester said that DVLA has it listed has being its first ever mot check.

This little gem has been a labour of love by my friend. And any calls to his number are solely with regard to the land rover. It has a full mot till june 2017. First reg date is 20 / 3 / 1974.
