Land Rover Series 3 SWB 1975 New MOT

  
1975 LAND ROVER 88 SWB 2.2 PETROL. Offered with a new MOT.

Starts and drives as it should. A lot of work done with all receipts available. I bought this car from Matt Savage Land Rovers in the winter of 2010 when we were snowed in. I ran the car for a few years and then it stood idle for another few years. She has just been recommissioned by Vics Classic Autos at Sittingbourne in Kent.

The car is now running well and just went through the MOT with no advisories. The odometer reading is very low and almost certainly wrong. The actual mileage is unknown.

She has a lovely rough patina but could obviously be painted to your choice. If you are unfamiliar with Land Rovers please understand that cars of this vintage are really pieces of farm equipment. This one has no heating and a ride that could be described as exhilarating. The car is available for viewing by appointment. If you wish to see it PLEASE NOTE that you will be met at a nearby parking lot as I will not reveal the location of the car.

I won't be falling for that again! As stated, a new MOT awarded was this week with no advisories after the following work was completed. Strip and jet wash inside and out.

Repair drivers door with chequer plate. New Brake Drum s and brake cylinder system. Clutch checked, bled and lubricated. New sections for rear cross member fabricated and welded in.

Remove and clean alternator and check voltages. Negatives are: rusty footwells could do with some welding (not an MOT issue) and the speedo stopped working on the way back from the MOT station (cable might be loose). The drivers door repair is functional but not particularly pretty. You may want to find a replacement. Without a feedback score you are an unknown quantity and may be disregarded.
