Land Rover Series I (one) Oil Pump Assembly New Genuine Nos 234310 240651

  
This is a new old stock genuine Rover/Land Rover oil pump assembly for the Series I Land Rover. It is either part number 234310 or 240651, but unfortunately I have been unable so far to identify which of these it is. These two part numbers are identical apart from the body, and this difference is connected with the pressure relief valve and the setscrew fixing it to the cylinder block. I imagine that these two items must be a different size for each of the pumps, so with some measurements it should be possible to work out which one it is. My suspicion is that it is in fact 240651, but I cannot be at all sure about it without some help from the Land Rover community. Part number 234310 fits all vehicle from 1951 vehicles with engines numbered 16102272 and 16131649 onwards up to the end of the 1954 production year and 240651 fits all vehicles between 1955 and 1958.
