Land Rover Series III / 3 Full MoT, 47000 miles, totally original, tax exempt

  

Land Rover Series III 88 truck cab with 3/4 canvas tilt. Totally original (unrestored) condition, with no chequer plate and a great patina of age! 7.50 x 16 tyres (Michelin XZL) and recently fitted parabolic springs. 12 months MoT (expires 6th April 2017) and no advisories from the MoT this month.

Original Land Rover/ BL Service Passport book, Owner's Manual and other history. It has been driven less than 600 miles in the past 6 years, as confirmed by the most recent MoT certificates and I drove it less than 100 miles between the 2015 and 2016 MoT, so it's time to sell it and allow someone else to make better use of a great classic Land Rover. It starts, drives and runs extremely well and any inspection is most welcome. In fact I'd encourage it, if you're not familiar with a 40 year old Land Rover. It's very basic (noisy, a little slow for motorway traffic and rather agricultural) but great fun to drive. There are some dents and scrapes to the panels, but no rot or rust, other than a small hole in the driver's footwell. Most importantly, nothing has been patched up or concealed, it's just the way it should be in every respect and the chassis and bulkhead are excellent. I can provide detailed photographs if required.

I've replaced the canvas hood and a few other parts, for example it had a new fuel tank fitted last year. I still have the original set of wheels with 6.00 x 16 tyres, but they are a little old and tired and it drives much better on the 7.50 x 16 Michelin tyres, especially with the new parabolic springs.
