Running on 7.50 x 16 Avon Rangemaster lwb rims. I have the six 205 x 16 original rims and tyres in scruffy condition. All internal trim other than seats is original. A few minor small tears in headlining, but good for age. A few spares including original Fairey freewheel hubs, brand new OEM Valeo Ducellier points distributor, rotor arms, usual stuff. Very few bad bits really. Paintwork been retouched previously in places, its not concours, but fair for age.
A great landrover to use, not too good to fear scratching it, and a sound basis for further improvement if you wish. No idea, basically, but it's less of an issue, mechanical condition far more important, and she's a good'un. There were no seats in the rear when I bought her. I fitted bench seats in the correct trim, as only used o.
Ccasionally, and the dogs prefer them. Easier to hang your head out the window!
We've loved "ELMY" but have recently relocated from a rural community, and she makes less sense here. She's a great Land Rover, I'm an enthusiast and spent a lot of time looking for a good one with minimal issues.Shes been lightly used, and well cared for by me and our local village garage, who are well used to Landy's. No known mechanical issues, and she drives very well for a series. The Landrover is located in Dumfries and Galloway, near Castle Douglas.
These are the most car like of the series Landy's and end of the production. Quite sought after and original Factory station Wagons are rare. V5 states it is an Estate which only an original would have.Masai red is the best colour for these in my opinon! Going up in value now. That said, I've put a sensible reserve on. I will liase with a carrier (shiply etc,) but will require cleared funds first. If you've not driven a series Landrover, then please consider carefully.
Noisy, heavy (relatively) steering, limited top speed , 60mph feels okay. BACS transfer or if you have to cash.6 months left on MOT, only issue last time was a brake cylinder which has been replaced by garage.
