Land Rover Series One 1958 88

  

Originally 4x2, but now 4x4 with MAP Free-wheeling hubs, comes with the original front straight axle casing, small half shafts to oil swivel bearings. And gearbox blanking plate as shown in photos. The rear axle as been stripped down cleaned and painted, diff checked, new bearings, seals and collar on both rear half shafts 6 months ago.

Fitted with recondition 2.0 L petrol engine which would have been the original engine type, the engine has an aluminium cylinder head and su carburettor. The engine has been reconditioned, and has had the following items: crankshaft re-ground, new big end bearings (connecting rod), new main bearings, new gudgeon pins and bearings. The engine block has been bored out to 0.20 , very good set of pistons fitted with new piston rings. All new seals and gaskets including front and rear crankshaft seals.

New water pump and fan belt. Also fitted with a new dyno-alternator. New battery, and wiring loom.

The land rover comes with a very good full canvas top, truck cab , like new 3/4 canvas and hard top (with out side windows). It also comes with over drive. The chassis is in very good order so is the bulk head with new galvanised top rail.

I have had this land rover striped down to its bare chassis repaired painted. All the galvanising as been redone. Sadly after 25 years of owning this series one, house move forces sale. New price as I need quick sale. Does not come with pto or winch. This land rover is advertised else where so may end early.
