Been dry stored (chassis and running gear) for last 8 years in my garage, before that outside in a farm yard, previous stored in a poly tunnel. Modified in the past to Rover V8 and Range Rover 5 speed gear box, extra outriggers fitted. Solid chassis, mostly stripped to bare metal and painted, waxoiled (NEW rear X member to be fitted still) 1x fuel tank support replaced and very minor welding to mostly rear bump stops area. Springs re bushed by me.
Rear axle stripped and painted. Bulkhead has new hinge panels and foot wells. Brand new Land Rover genuine fuel tank never used. Dutch army PVC hood in black (i have the sticks/ frame).New bolts, lights, Shockers, brake pipe kit, new and used spares all included in sale-too much to list and photo. Good bonnet and wings, tailgate ok.
8 Spoke wheels with almost new tyres x 4 plus a spare. Long stick 5 speed gearbox fitted c/w high/low and diff lock.
2 x reclining race/bucket type seats. I have bought undercoat paint from The Paint Man.Brand new, OE equipment rear X member included- still in packaging to fit. Other new parts metal work included. Rolling chassis with NO brakes fitted, steering not connected- but could be - 1 x arm needs bolting on which I have. Engine was running fine but started rattling last time so complete spare included from a good donor.
Top vent panel very rusty/ rotted as all LWT's but could be saved? In loads of bits, but 99% all there. Needs trailing away in possibly 3 x trips, help loading boxing parts given- but some parts like bulkhead, wheels & possibly the rear tub could be re fitted and loosely bolted for transportation- the next biggest lump is the spare engine but it's on a dolly so moves but it really heavy.
Chassis wiring loom nibbled by mice, salvageable but not expensive from Autosparks Derby. Exhaust pipe needs replacing and sills missing. Wings and tub have holes drilled for a steel body skirt kit- the PO said this was called a Blackbird kit? Roll bar hoop if required- I had to cut the supports to get the rear tub off but I have them, but they were welded to the rear x member which is VERY heavy duty hence a correct one is included in the sale.
Loads more to say, and more photos available, time frame for collecting to be agreed in stages if required, BIG lumps! Genuine Lightweights are getting rare and expensive now, worth a lot in parts alone.
