Looked After Series 3 Land Rover

  
Well Looked After 1982 Land Rover Series III Hard top in cream and green. I have had this lovely Series 3 for the past 5-years where she has always had a service and MOT, plus repairs where required despite only doing on average between 300 - 600 miles a year. She hasn't been off-road or done any strenuous towing and has been meticulously looked after in all the years I've had her since 2014? The gearbox works nicely (although ever so occasionally is giving signs that the selector mesh would need a look at) brakes straight, pulls away nicely, sits nicely. Lights work, heating works, gears work, freewheel hubs work - don't know what else to say other than this is a nice everyday Series 3 hardtop that has been looked after, it has had the bits attended to that needed it and so don't expect to find a'barn find' that no-one has changed in 30-40 years.

Has a tow bar and electrics but these usually need a clean out before use. The service history goes back some 12 - 15 years but before that we have nothing, the milage is 48k and I have no reason to doubt that as the service records indicate low milage for the last 15-years and mainly Home Counties road usage. There is a bust speaker in the centre console that if I was keeping it would continue to try and find an original replacement for and maybe a radio to go in the hole in the centre dash. The two-passenger doors have had treatment for slight rust which isn't progressing and can be seen if you want to Whatsapp me for more pics (along with any other pics of underneath), the door top got replaced as it was too weak due to the rust but the others are fine.

There is a patina to be expected on an old landie, there are dents here and there but nothing structural and if you wished you can bang them out. Saying that she is on for the price I would let her go for so won't be taking any offers, I think if you like her and understand how reliable and looked after she has been you will appreciate her value. October Work completed by garage with receipts. Proper Gearbox oil, Transmission & Diff Oil, Main oil change.

New front and rear fog lamps. Recent work completed by garage with receipts. New petrol tank and sender. A-Frame and Bulkhead re-spray along with new vent seals.

New door top, seals and windows to driver side. There will be more little bits such as welding but all in service history. Work completed by chap I bought from.
