Pair RH & LH Front Door Bottoms for Land Rover Series 3 1971-1984

  

These have the correct Series 3 type Check Strap Bracket. This is to suit standard handles. The only difference between anti burst handles and non anti burst, is anti burst handles have a lock hole in the door skin where as standard handles have the lock barrel within the handle aperture. Most Series 3 models used just the standard handles.

High quality, lovingly made in house by us in England, the frame is steel with aluminium skin as original. We use a marine bonding inbetween the frame and skin to prevent rattling and to help minimise bimetallic corrosion. The handle box on our doors is also curved as per factory spec so looks as accurate as possible to original doors. (Most aftermarket ones have square handle boxes which do not look correct).

Each part of the door is pressed or CNC folded for accuracy and welded into a jig to ensure the finished product is a perfect fit each time. The aluminium we use is also the closest modern equivalent to Birmabright, we use 5251 grade alloy which is a lot tougher and more dent resistant rather than 1050 grade which other aftermarket doors are made with which are a lot softer and dent a lot easier. The door is finished in a black powdercoat to provide a nice base coat before painting, just flat it down slightly with fine wet and dry paper to provide a key before painting.
