Series 2 land rover

  

Series land rover 1968 diesel. Modified over the years as per photos, drives like a modern vehicle! But not for the purest, built for functionality and the look I wanted, not for everyone but very cool vehicle that I used for transport in.

Some of the parts and features are listed here. Full roll cage directly to chassis 60mm tube 3mm wall etc. Number plate that has a reasonable value... And its the original plate. All door uppers, windscreen and pillars can be bolted on or off so can be driven open from waist seat belts attach straight to roll cage front and rear (See photo).

2x tailgates one full length one half height for soft top or open top. Terrafirma shocks 40mm raise (All brake pipes new and to suit articulations etc). Terrafirma coil springs Heavy duty as I tried medium and heavy were actually the best on road too! 200tdi recon gold seal engine.

5 speed transmission, all work fine high and low etc. Momo black leather steering wheel. Black leather BMW M3 leather front seats (I brought new so done a couple thousand miles so like new) (See photos).

Lotus Elise black leather second row seats (Also like new). Great chassis no rust issues - painted and then undersealed. 2 sets of tyres both sets great for different purposes (By discussion one set general grabber AT good for road use and some off roading, one set off road style that have done approx 1000 miles so like new just a bit noisey on road). Full length Hard top roof rack. Roof rack designed for use with soft top. Work/camp lights fitted on cables with clamps for use while camping. Internal metal lockable storage boxes bolted to chassis to store everything for security when left roof off, even DVD player is on cables so can be locked away, I used code locks so could go diving/swimming etc without any keys! Quick for a landrover - very little weight despite roll cage especially with roof off. Low miles for year, less than 10k on recon, most other bits are new anyway. Very reliable have driven to. Several times and all through. On several expeditions, I built it for use in the Greek islands and kept it there for many years. Perfect camp/expedition vehicle I have had years of fun from this and would not sell if I did not want the cash. Will MOT fully as looks great and is mechanically great so just a formality. Anyone that is genuinely interested will come look see so pointless listing everything, It has great patina and built it to what I wanted, not everyones taste but thats life, dont bother making offers unless you come with cash etc.. I could in theory de content and may sell as some of the parts likeseats are worth lots but this vehicle would be be fine without high spec BMW or lotus seats, same goes for stereo, tyres, soft top etc..

Etc But would be a shame as the sum of the parts is great. Aluminium boat as on some picsnot included but may sell separately. Note: tried to show the different possible set ups in the photos etc. Collection only and cash on collection.
