Series 2A Land Rover

  

She is a fantastic little Land Rover, always starts well, drives well and puts a smile on your face. Anything this Landie has needed, its had it.

Now the good points, she has recently this year had. A Full service (including steering box adjustment). A replacement wiring loom (including the trailer socket) along with complete electronic ignition. Complete brake overhaul, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes and fitting kit, plus all brake lines and flexible hoses replaced. The swivel hub housings have been rebuilt including king pins and all seals and gaskets.

1 new wheel bearing (as the rest are perfect). 4x new ball joints for the steering bar and track rod. The other points are that the chassis is in good condition, with all work done properly as this is the original chassis, as is the bulkhead. The engine runs smoothly as it had the weber carb upgrade done before I bought her.

Also I have spent quite a lot of time making sure there are no nasty knocking noises or horrendous rattles. The body work is quite fatigued, with a few dents and paint work damage, although there is no major rust if you are worried I can send additional photos of the body work. The gearbox works absolutely fine as does the transfer box and the overdrive, however it does jump out of second and third occasionally.

One of the windscreen wiper motors does need rebuilding or replacing, on the passenger side. The gauges work but the speedo could do with being recalibrated as it over reads and occasionally sticks.
